likely/probable/possible 的區別
三者都可以表示“可能”
possible 強調客觀上有可能性，但也常常暗示“實際上希望很少”。It is possible for sb. to do sth.或It is possible+that 從句。作表語時不能用人作主語。
probable 主要用來指有根據，合情理、值得相信的事情，帶有“大概，很可能”的意味，語氣較possible 強。It is probable+that 從句。作表語時不用人或不定式作主語。
likely 側重從表面看，某物肯有可能發生，與probable 意思相近。即可用人也可用物作主語。It is likely +that 從句.或sb./sth be likely to do sth.不能說It is likely for sb. to do sth.
