動詞-ing作表語,定語和賓補
一、動詞-ing作表語
我們最大的幸福是為人民服務
Our greatest happiness is serving the people.(動名詞)
我們的任務是建設祖國。
Our task is building our country.(動名詞)
我們昨晚看的電影十分動人。
The film we saw last night is quite moving..(現在分詞)
他的話很鼓舞人。
His words are encouraging.(現在分詞)
怎樣區分表語是現在分詞和動名詞
(1)動名詞作表語和主語是等值關系,兩者有時可以互換,句子意思不變;動名詞后面可以接賓語、狀語。
(2)現在分詞作表語和主語不是對等關系,現在分詞后面不能接賓語,但它前面可以有修飾性的副詞,如very,rather等。
常用來作表語的現在分詞有:
astonishing,amusing,confusing,diaappointing,boring,encouraging,inspiring,moving,tiring,intersting,surprising等。
動名詞作表語表示抽象、一般的行為,現在分詞作表語表示主語的特征、性質和狀態。
二、動詞-ing作定語
我們可以改進工作方法。
We can improve our working method.(動名詞)
他們將手術臺架設在一座小廟里。
They set up an operating table in a small temple.(動名詞)
中國是發展中國家。
China is a developing country.(現在分詞)
正在做實驗的那個學生是我們的班長。
The student making the experiment is our monitor.(現在分詞)
動名詞作定語用來說明該名詞的作用和用途不表示名詞本身的動作;現在分詞作定語與所修飾的名詞具有邏輯上的主謂關系即現在分詞相當于所修飾名詞的謂語。
三、動詞-ing作賓補
動名詞不能作賓語補足語。現在分詞作賓補表示的是正在發生的動作。例如:
我看見他正在上樓。
I saw him going upstairs.
我們看著她在過大街。
We watched her crossing the street.
我們聽見她在房間里唱歌。
We heard her singing in her room.
提示:接現在分詞作賓語補足語的動詞有feel,hear,listen to,see,look at,watch,observe,notice,find,smell,set,have,keep,stary,leave,get,catch等。
語法復習題

解析:missing是形容詞,作boy 的定語,意思是“失蹤的”。was last seen playing表示被看見時正在玩。

解析:本題考查分析作補語,rise是不及物動詞,先排除A,B兩項,國旗是被人們升起的,應該用分詞的被動形式,句意為:當看到電視中奧林匹克運動會上國旗正在被升起時,我們歡呼起來。
4.Don't leave her(D) outside in the rain,or she will get a cold.

解析:句意:別讓她在外面雨中一直等,否則她回感冒的。leave sb. doing sth.“使某人一直處于某種狀態。”

解析:此題考查非謂語動詞作定語。take up的賓語是too much space,它和books 是主動關系,所以用現在分詞作定語。

A looking    B looked     C look    D to be looked
解析:句子的謂語是sell此時可用主動表被動,looking 是現在分詞作定語,相當于定語從句that looks.
