都含“破壞”“毀壞”的意思
(1)damage 指”價值,用途降低或外表損傷等,不一定全部
破壞,損壞了還可以修復“,例如:
The heavy rain damaged many houses.
大雨毀壞了許多房子。
What they said damaged the relations between the two
countries.
他們的話損害了兩國間的關系
(2)destroy指”徹底毀壞以至不能很難修復“既可以指實體
的毀壞也可以用于抽象的東西,比如名譽,努力等。例如:
That town was destroyed in a big fire.
那個城鎮(zhèn)在一場大火中被毀了。
That will destroy the reputation of our products.
那會毀了我們產品的聲譽。
(3)ruin 現(xiàn)在多用于借喻中,泛指一般的”弄壞了“。例如

He knocked over a bottle of link and ruined the table
cloth.
他打翻了一瓶墨水把桌布弄臟了。

judge sb./sth. 對...判斷
judge that-clause/wh-clause   判斷,認為
