as if(=as though)仿佛，好像
如果它引導的從句表示與現在事實相反，從句用一般過去時；與過去事實相反，，從句用過去完成時態。但如果從句說的是客觀事實，可不用虛擬語氣。
他繼續工作，仿佛什么都沒有發生似的。
He kept working as if (nothing had happened.)
看起來會議沒玩沒了。
It seems as if the meeting (never ended.)
